The start of a new year... 2015

Another year finishes, a new year starts. I have a lot to look forward to this year, I turn 50 this month, there should be some celibrations being arranged by my good lady wife, she isn't letting on much but she has something cooking. I'm also having a party at the local indoor skatepark the first Saturday in February, got some old friends making the trip North to help me celebrate, there will be much skating, loads of reminiscing, some laughs, oh and loads of cake.

I'm also really looking forward to meeting up with some good people from a G+ group I'm involved with at this year's The Photography Show at the NEC at Birmingham at the tail end of March. This will be the first time I've been to this show, as I missed last years first event as I was stacked out with urgent work, and I'd missed the previous year's Focus on Imaging show for the same reason, it'll be good to get to see the new toys the photography industry have conjured up for us to play with. It'll be even better meeting up with the group, a fine bunch of people, I foresee much chatting and huge coffee consumption on the day.

This year sees my 13th year of trading, I'm not superstitious, you make your own luck. Some changes are afoot, those will hopefully become apparent in blog posts as the year progresses. I'm focusing on getting some new portfolio work shot during January, the website will, I hope, finally get its long overdue overhaul, and there is the endless marketing campaign to continue with...

So Happy New Year, onward and upward.
